"Thank you for asking me to be part of such a heart felt endeavor. It is these organic type of events, whose humble beginnings flourish into something that touches others deeply. Often these types of events go unnoticed by others, but the "feel good" remains in the creators heart. So even if you don't have a 1000 sponsors or 1000's of dollars, or national media coverage, it is the fact that you, one person did something!!! And to me, that purpose, to do something is vastly eternal, and much bigger pay off than any media attention. However, I am grateful to be able to shed a little light on your purpose and the courage of the woman you will celebrate. Well done you good and faithful servant:) i love you"

Whats not to love about a job in the red rocks of Southern Utah, where you are surrounded by vacationers and people trying to improve their health! As general manager at Red Mountain Resort, it's a dream come true. Carrying a bachelors degree in Radio/TV communications Management into a large Midwest Golf Resort 28 years ago, lead Welch through the ranks and eventually onto the executive team. However the warmth of the Southwest along with the mission of Red Mountain convinced Welch to relocate to join the Red Mountain team in 2001 as Director of Operations she was promoted to general manager in 2006. Welch along with the Red Mountain team, have earned many accolades as a result of their efforts at the resort including World's Best Destination Spa by Travel and Leisure Magazine in 2012, Worlds Top 270 Spas by Conde Nast Magazine, Best of state and Best of St. George.

At home Welch shares life with her husband of 29 years, and three dogs. After work hobbies include walking, hiking with her three dogs, camping and travel and time with her new twin grandsons. Welch is President of the St. George Lodging and tourism Association, Ivins Tourism Council and Secretary of INKAS Ivins No Kill Animal Supporter
